The second DLC, The Shieldbreaker, released on 26th of October 2017. The first DLC, The Crimson Court, released on 19th of June 2017. The problem is people like you setting a completely arbitrary limitation on what does and doesn't consider the "real" experience and attempting to invalidate other people's experience by splitting them into the real players and the phony players as is being done in this thread by several people.Welcome to the official subreddit for the games Darkest Dungeon 1 & 2!ĭarkest Dungeon is available for PC, Mac, Linux, PS4, PSVita, iPad and Nintendo Switch! Hell an emulated version literally means it's an imitation of something so all emulated versions of anything would fall under the "fake" version of something. Sekiro that received it's 1.03 patch is STILL the real SekiroĪnd sometime in the future when a PS4 emulator comes out, guess what? That'll be the real Sekiro too. Sekiro that receives it's 1.02 patch is the real Sekiro

Sekiro that receives it's Day 1 patch is the real Sekiro Sekiro played on the PC is the real Sekiro Sekiro played on the PS4 is the real Sekiro What is being said is that it is ultimately the real Sekiro because there are no such thing as fake versions of games. There was plenty of debate about cupheads difficulty, and cuphead actually had an easy mode, personally i found cuphead way easier than any of the souls games, everyone has different skill sets, there are people who say the souls games aren't hard, for me and many others they are super hard.Ĭlick to shrink.Nobody said the mod isn't different from the original experience. Nothing wrong with discussion, but this thread has mostly been condescending driveby posts against OP, whenever some tries to discuss adding difficulty settings the tryhards start shreking in rage.

Some souls fan argue that you might as well just watch the games on youtube rather than play a game devoid on any challenge at all, this is silly, it doesn't have to be all or nothing, there is a middleground to be found, and i think from software are more than capable of pulling that off. Difficulty settings are not rocket science, they have been around for a while, souls fans like pretend that balancing difficulty levels in souls would be an impossible task, which is kind of funny since the souls games have never been well balanced, cheap bullshit, absurd random difficulty spikes and hilariously op character/equipment builds that can completely break the game has always been a part of the series.Ī difficulty mode doesn't have to be complicated, adjusted player hp and enemy damage, more lenient parry windows/dodge i-frames, less aggressive enemies and no/reduced penalties for dying (going hollow, reduced hp, losing xp), that is pretty much all it takes to make adjustable difficulty levels.
